Moorpark is a newer town than most of what we work in, and the masonry reflects that. The tract neighborhoods off Tierra Rejada and up around Campus Park came with builder-grade block walls and plain gray driveways, and twenty years later the calls are about improving them: stamped concrete over a tired slab, a paver driveway that widens the parking apron, a raised planter that turns a slope at the back fence into usable yard.
The hillside lots on the north side are a different job. Those grades were engineered when the tract went in, and any wall added later has to respect what is already holding the hill. Summer heat inland here runs well above the coast, which matters more than people expect. Concrete placed at a hundred degrees loses water fast and cures weaker unless the mix is adjusted and the slab is kept wet through the first days. We pour early, cover slabs, and hold off on sealing until the surface has properly cured. It costs a day or two and it is the difference between a driveway that lasts a decade and one that lasts forty years.

Size, weather, access and material lead times decide the schedule, and you get a start and finish date in writing before we mobilize.
Do you need a permit for masonry work?
Retaining walls over four feet, structural concrete slabs, and outdoor kitchens carrying gas or electrical typically require permits. Repairs in kind, low garden walls and most patio work do not. We handle the permitting as part of the service, including the engineering when a wall needs a stamp, and we meet the inspector so you do not have to take a day off for it.
